Today is a special day as it’s Howdy’s 5th anniversary. If life’s just a game, as the song says, we can say we hit another checkpoint.

This anniversary hit as different because five is a significant number; it’s half a decade 🤯 It made us remember that when we started in 2018, we did it with only five people and one client but with a clear north: (following the game logic) becoming an essential player in connecting the best talent in Latam with US companies, and creating growth opportunities and long term relationships for both.

As 2018 is a particular year because it is the beginning of this journey, 2020 is also notable because we remember it as our first big step. That year, Howdy’s team grew to 50 members, and Y Combinator accepted them, resulting in a 10x growth.

In 2022, Howdy went through two new investment rounds, raising $18MM and archiving a new valuation of $105MM, a growth that means 200%.

This year, Howdy acquired Geek Hunter, one of the largest tech talent marketplaces in Brazil, adding more than 400K developer profiles to the database 🚀

It’s the 5th year since we started walking this path of reaching our dream in 2018, and we could not be happier with the process. It’s been a journey with lots of hints and failures but with many learnings, too. 

Where do we see ourselves in the next five years when we hit the next checkpoint? We would say that reaching more dreams is.
