Cloudflare Waf

Cloudflare Web Application Firewall (WAF) is a cloud-based service that helps protect web applications against common vulnerabilities and malicious attacks. It filters and monitors HTTP traffic between a user's internet browser and the web server, providing an additional layer of security. The WAF uses rules to detect and block known application vulnerabilities, including SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), and other attack techniques often used by hackers. Cloudflare's WAF operates within the Cloudflare ecosystem alongside other services like DDoS protection, content delivery network (CDN) functionality, caching options, load balancing, SSL/TLS encryption services for optimizing website security requirements while also enhancing performance through its global network infrastructure.
