Birst is a cloud-based business intelligence (BI) and analytics software platform. It provides enterprise-level reporting, ad-hoc query and analysis, dashboards, scorecards, search-based data discovery and mobile access. Birst features an automated data warehouse into which businesses can load data from multiple sources, including on-premises databases or cloud applications in real-time or scheduled intervals. The software's innovative networked BI approach enables centralized governance while allowing localized flexibility for departments to create their own reports. Infor acquired the company in 2017 as part of its strategy to expand its industry-specific ERP systems with advanced analytics capabilities.
