Source 2 is a video game development engine created by the video game company Valve. It’s the successor to Source, which powered games like Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Known for its advanced physics capabilities and strong modding support, Source 2 has been used to develop games such as Dota 2 Reborn (which updated Dota 2 with features from the new engine) and Artifact. This engine has also found use beyond gaming in applications like The Lab VR experience and animated short films showcasing its rendering capabilities.
