Xojo is a rapid application development platform for cross-platform application creation. It uses a simple programming language — like Visual Basic combined with Java's capabilities — to enable developers at all levels of experience to create applications. Xojo's integrated development environment lets users design user interfaces, write code, and debug their programs all in one place. The language can compile code to run on Windows, macOS, Linux-based systems (including Raspberry Pi), the web with Web 1.0 apps using CGI or Web 2.0 apps using Xojo Cloud, and even iOS with the use of Xcode for final deployment testing on an Apple device or store submission but not for local simulator testing due to Apple restrictions.
