ZBrush is a digital sculpting tool that combines 3D/2.5D modeling, texturing, and painting. The software utilizes "pixol" technology which stores lighting, color, material, orientation information for the objects on the screen. This allows users to express their creativity in a natural way without having to worry about technical specifications as well. ZBrush's interface can be customized with pre-made layouts and UI elements that can help facilitate an artist or designer's workflow when working on complex projects such as film & video game characters or high-end jewelry design pieces due to its ability for detailed sculpting thanks to its "sculptress" mode which lets artists work with millions of polygons without experiencing the performance hit commonly associated with highly detailed models in other programs.
