ActiveVFP is an open-source framework for developing and deploying Microsoft Visual FoxPro applications on web servers. This development platform extends the functions of the original Visual FoxPro engine into a Web-based environment, allowing developers to create dynamic websites without leaving behind their investment in existing VFP systems. ActiveVFP provides compatibility with Linux servers by utilizing Mono or .NET Core technologies and supports popular web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, AJAX libraries, and JavaScript frameworks. The framework enables data exchange with both local and remote databases through its built-in data access technology or via JSON services, making it easier to integrate older VFP systems with modern web architectures.
