Asymptote

Asymptote is a vector graphics programming language for producing mathematical diagrams and technical illustrations. This descriptive language is based on Metapost, but with an improved C++ syntax and many additional features for better integration of 3D graphics and other mathematical expressions. Designed to render geometrically correct objects that can be mathematically manipulated, Asymptote emphasizes the automatic generation of complex structures as welll as the easing of repetitive manual tasks through abstraction. Its ability to output directly into PDF or other common image formats makes it particularly useful in scientific publishing, educational materials, and web applications to display sophisticated graphics natively without intermediate steps or post-processing.
