MAGMA-Lisp is a dialect of the LISP programming language aimed at symbolic mathematics. It was developed by researchers at the University of California, Berkeley in the 1980s for constructing computer algebra systems and performing mathematical computations. Magma supports parallelism via the ability to express operations on data structures as sequences of transformations.
