Nadeshiko is a programming language designed for high school girls in Japan to learn programming and express creativity through technology. The language, which is open-source and based on Ruby, uses a simplified syntax and emojis for writing commands. Nadeshiko has built-in functions that let users create visual content such as animations and graphics. By combining text-based commands with emotive symbols, the language aims to make coding more approachable for beginners who may be put off by traditional complex languages as well as potentially encourage more women into the field of technology.
