PROMAL, short for the Professional Micro Based Application Language, is a programming language first developed in the 1980s by the British company Red Rhino. It's designed for business applications and system development on microcomputers. PROMAL allows for modular programming through caller-callee interaction and supports structured and object-oriented programming paradigms. The language has fallen out of general use as more modern alternatives have emerged, but there is still some legacy software written in PROMAL that continues to be maintained today.
