Xcore Xs1

The XCore XS1 is a family of microcontrollers designed for real-time processing and low-power applications. They are the foundation of XMOS' xCORE line of multicore microcontrollers, which are based on a communication-oriented instruction set architecture (ISA). The ISA provides support for common embedded programming techniques while also integrating features typically handled by separate components in traditional microcontroller architectures, such as hardware support for interfacing with other electronic systems via USB or Ethernet and an event-driven programming model. This enables the XCore XS1 to handle complex I/O tasks with its multicore architecture and deterministic behavior without requiring large amounts of external logic or compromising real-time performance.
