About Zeplin

Zeplin was created in 2014 by a team of designers and developers to address the challenges in the design-to-development handoff process. The founders, Pelin Kenez, Berk Çebi, Taha Kazi, and Mehmet Tunç, aimed to streamline collaboration by providing a platform where design specifications could be easily shared and understood by both designers and developers.

Strengths of Zeplin included its ability to streamline design handoffs, generate accurate specifications, and integrate with popular design tools. Weaknesses involved limited functionality beyond the handoff process and reliance on third-party integrations for extended features. Competitors included InVision, Figma, and Adobe XD, which offered similar collaboration and design-to-development tools.
