Cadence Skill

Cadence SKILL is a programming language used for creating scripts and applications within Cadence Design Systems' EDA tools. The language was designed in the 1980s to integrate electronic design automation functions. Its syntax and structure are similar to C, allowing engineers with C background to work on projects more productively. SKILL facilitates interoperability between different CAD tools by providing a standard platform for customization. This integration mechanism allows users to automate tasks, manipulate data structures, create custom interfaces through GUI development, verify designs through simulation controls and perform other complex operations that would be impractical or time-consuming when performed manually within the CAD environment itself.
