LSE64 is a high-level programming language developed by the London Stock Exchange in the early 1980s. The language was designed specifically for financial systems and stock market trading. LSE64 was an early proponent of using "business-oriented" data types, such as packed decimal arithmetic to facilitate computing financial calculations with monetary values more accurately than other languages at the time. While its use has declined since the 2000s, it once played a significant role in finance software development.
