Pike

Pike is a general-purpose programming language with syntax similar to other C-style languages. It was created in the late 1990s by Fredrik Hübinette, and later developed by a team at Roxen Internet Software. Pike is known for its support of rapid development through advanced data types — including those for strings, arrays, mappings, etc. The language has built-in support for drawing graphics and making images on the fly. Pike's design incorporates features that allow developers to build sophisticated web applications without needing to use additional libraries or tools. This makes it particularly suited to server-side scripting and web service creation.
