Specific Media (Myspace)

MySpace doesn't exist anymore. It used to be a big social network, but then Facebook came along and took over. After that, Specific Media bought MySpace in 2011 with pop star Justin Timberlake as an investor. Specific Media was renamed Viant and focused more on digital advertising technology after the purchase. Their main thing is using targeted advertising through their Ad Server software, which helps put ads where they'll be most effective based on people's interests and behavior across different websites and mobile apps. This kind of software is called a demand-side platform (DSP).
