Vintage Basic

Vintage BASIC is a free, open-source implementation of the original Dartmouth College BASIC programming language. This modern version is designed to run on personal computers and allow students to learn the same kind of programming that was done in schools during the 1960s and 1970s. Vintage BASIC encourages understanding of computer fundamentals by presenting a simple, straightforward syntax suitable for beginners while providing enough power for creating useful software. The programming language includes an interactive interpreter environment as well as support for creating standalone executable programs.
